Mouse strain repositories - Mutant Mouse Regional Resource Centers (MMRRC) Program - A network comprising an Informatics Coordinating Center and four regional mutant mouse distribution facilities capable of husbandry; cryopreservation; storing, and reconstructing embryos; phenotypic characterization (structural and behavioral); genetic quality control; maintenance of a mouse resource database; and distribution of genetically modified mice
- The Jackson Laboratory (JAX) - Provides a wide range of resources including databases on numerous mouse models. Three of the main databases are: 1) the Induced Mutant Resource, which selects, imports, cryopreserves, maintains, and distributes congenic targeted mutant mice; 2) the Mouse Mutant Gene Resource, which develops and maintains strains of mice with specific mutant genes; and 3) the Cryopreservation of Murine Germplasm repository, which contains frozen eight-cell mouse embryos and sperm from >2,300 inbred and mutant strains of laboratory mice

- European Mouse Mutant Archive - EMMA - EMMA collects, archives (via cryopreservation), and distributes mutant mouse strains
- Federation of International Mouse Resources (FIMRe) - A collaborating group of mouse repository and resource centers worldwide whose collective goal is to archive and provide strains of mice as cryopreserved embryos and gametes, ES cell lines, and live breeding stock to the research community
- Harwell Frozen Embryo and Sperm Archive (FESA) - the sole public UK archiving and distribution centre for mouse strains
- MouseBook - MouseBook provides free access to all the data from MRC Harwell. This includes mouse stocks in FESA (Frozen Embryo and Sperm Archive), mutants from the mutagenesis screen, the ENU DNA archive, standardized phenotyping procedures, imprinting genes and chromosome anomalies
Mouse pathology - Mouse Tumor Biology (MTB) Database - Provides access to mouse tumor biology data including descriptions of mouse tumors (searchable by strain and organ of origin), tumor frequency and latency data, and tumor pathology reports and images
- Pathbase - Searchable database of histopathology images from experiments on genetically manipulated mice and a reference covering mouse pathology. Images can be searched using a wide range of parameters
Mouse genetics and genomics - NCBI Mouse Genome Resources (MGR) - The National Center for Biotechnology Information's MGR website is a gateway to mouse genomic resources.
- NCI Cancer Genome Anatomy Project (CGAP) - Provides genomic data for mouse and human and informatics tools to determine the gene expression profiles of normal, precancerous, and cancer cells. Provides clear instructions for the first time user and is extremely useful to those unfamiliar with genomics.
- Mouse Genome Informatics (MGI) Database - Provides integrated access to data on the genetics, genomics and biology of the laboratory mouse.
- Mammalian Gene Collection (MGC) - Provides full-length (open-reading-frame) sequences and cDNA clones of expressed genes for human, mouse and rat.
- RIKEN Institute - This website, maintained by the RIKEN Hayashizaki Group, includes a full-length cDNA encyclopedia of the mouse.
- Edinburgh Mouse Atlas Project (EMAP) and Gene Expression (EMAGE) - EMAP is a digital atlas and database of mouse development for spatially mapped data such as in situ gene expression and cell lineage. EMAGE is a spatial database of gene expression patterns in the developing mouse embryo.
- Harwell Mammalian Genetics Resource (MGR)- It has facilities for mouse genetics research with facilities for molecular genetics, genomics, mutagenesis, transgenesis, and informatics. MGU also holds one of the largest mouse genetics banks within europe.
- Ensembl - This is the Mouse Genome Sequencing Consortium's (MGSC) website containing more than 95% of the mouse genome.
Human cancer gene databases - Sanger Cancer Genome Project (CGP) - Using the human genome sequence and mutation-detection systems, CGP identifies somatically acquired sequence variants/mutations critical in the development of human cancers.
- GeneCards - A database of human genes, their products, and their involvement in diseases.
Comprehensive mouse links - NCI Mouse Models of Human Cancers Consortium (MMHCC) - Provides information, resources, and innovative approaches to the application of mouse models in cancer research.
- Mouse Genome - Online access to Nature's special issue on the mouse genome.
- Trans-NIH Mouse Initiative - Provides information on funding opportunities for mouse genomics and genetics resources, mouse genomics and genetics resources, publications and courses and scientific meetings related to the mouse.
- International Mammalian Genome Society - A society that fosters and stimulates research in mammalian genetics. Lists of resources are organized by individual countries' research and organisms studied.
