The aim of the workshop was to bring together scientists
from a broad range of disciplines not normally aligned with the
toxicological sciences, to consider how advances in science and
technology being used to understand biological mechanisms and
pathways could be exploited to improve the scientific basis of
the safety assessment of chemicals and minimise the use of
animals. Ideas generated at the meeting will be used to inform
future research priorities for the NC3Rs.
This workshop was open to participants by invitation
only.
