Over £4m awarded for 3Rs research

3Rs Research Funding Scheme

The NC3Rs has awarded 13 new research grants. This year just over £4M has been invested in projects ranging from refining animal models of multiple sclerosis to reducing the number of mice used in complex genetic experiments.

Novel approaches to safety assessment

NC3Rs workshop report

In November 2009, the NC3Rs held a workshop bringing together scientists from a broad range of disciplines to consider how advances in science and technology could be exploited for chemical safety assessment and to reduce animal use. A report of the outcomes of the workshop is now available.

NC3Rs 3Rs Prize 2010 - Call for nominations

Deadline is Wednesday 10 November

Nominations are now being accepted for the NC3Rs annual 3Rs prize. Sponsored by GlaxoSmithKline, the prize consists of a grant of £10k, plus a personal award of £1k.
