David Sainsbury Fellowship Scheme

Flagship fellowship scheme for exceptional early-career researchers

The NC3Rs has launched a new fellowship scheme to attract the best new talent to the challenge of developing models and tools with reduced reliance on in vivo research and/or improved animal welfare. Five awards will be available each year, with a value of £65k per annum for 3 years.

Strategic award on human cell-based carcinogenicity assays

Applications invited

The NC3Rs is seeking high quality applications to develop novel human cell-based systems that could provide mechanistic information to support a weight of evidence, mode of action based evaluation of the carcinogenic potential of chemicals.

Solutions sought in a wide range of research areas

The NC3Rs has been working with industry sponsors to define global challenges which address specific business needs and support the 3Rs. The best solutions from academic and/or SME applicants to each of these CRACK-IT® Challenges in 2011 will be supported by the NC3Rs and industry.
