NC3Rs transfer to Je-SThe NC3Rs, along with the Research Councils, is committed to transferring its grants administration to the new Research Councils UK (RCUK) Shared Services Centre (SSC) in Swindon. This will achieve efficiency savings, cross council harmonisation and meet the Government's policy of transferring work outside London. As part of this initiative, the NC3Rs will be moving to Je-S (joint electronic submission), the RCUK grant application and research administration system. Je-S has been well received by research organisations and research applicants who already use the Je-S system to apply for funding from other research councils. Preparations for the change-over to Je-S for NC3Rs research grants and studentships are underway. Our aim is to ensure a seamless transition from the MRC's application system (EAA) to the RCUK application system (Je-S), ensuring that researchers can apply for NC3Rs funding at all times. We will provide as much notice as possible of planned dates for moving. The first NC3Rs competitions to use Je-S are expected to be those with closing deadlines from mid 2011 onwards. When new competitions are announced details will be provided on which application system to use. NC3Rs existing grant holders and past reviewers may receive communications from Je-S as well as from the NC3Rs. Information will be updated on this web page as the transition dates become known. There will be a number of communication and support activities taking place in the lead up to transition. If you have queries about the NC3Rs change over to Je-S, please contact ashley.scott@nc3rs.org.uk |
