Avoiding the reuse of needles poster now available
Needle reuse is an increasing area of concern due to its implications for both welfare and science. To help you implement the single use of needles in your facility, we have produced a new A3 poster that can be ordered online and posted to you for free.
Applying the 3Rs in drug development: Improving delivery of innovative treatments to patients
We work with the pharmaceutical industry to advance the 3Rs in drug development through initiatives such as promoting data sharing and funding research into new techniques and approaches. In June we hosted a workshop to highlight some of our collaborations and discuss ideas for future projects – the report from this workshop is now available online.

Reports from two NC3Rs-hosted symposia at international toxicology meetings have recently been published. The publications highlight international efforts to progress non-animal methods for acute toxicity testing and advance the 3Rs within drug development.
Our Funding Panels are responsible for assessing the scientific excellence and 3Rs impact of applications to our funding schemes. We are currently inviting applications from talented researchers to become members of the following Panels from January 2020:

This annual meeting, co-hosted by The Royal Society of Biology Animal Science Group and the Home Office Animal Science Regulation Unit, brings together active researchers, support staff and administrators involved with animal research. The day will feature talks, panel discussions and workshops.
