This October we are partnering with the British Library to host a Talk Science event focussing on the 3Rs

Run by the science team at the British Library, the Talk Science series is an opportunity for the public to engage with world leading scientists on a variety of topics. On Thursday 13 October a panel of experts will discuss the use of animals in research and the current state of alternatives, alongside efforts to refine animal models.

Chaired by our Board Chair Stephen Holgate, the panel also includes Robin Lovell-Badge, Head of the Division of Stem Cell Biology and Developmental Genetics at the Francis Crick Institute, Sally Robinson, Head of Laboratory Animal Science (UK) at AstraZeneca, and NC3Rs grantholder Robin Williams, Head of the Biomedical Sciences Centre at Royal Holloway, University of London.

The evening will begin with a panel discussion, and after a break there will be a Q&A with the audience. Members of staff from our London office will be in attendance, giving attendees the perfect opportunity to discuss the activities of the NC3Rs.

The event is open to all, tickets are just £5 (plus booking fee) and available through the British Library website. Doors open from 6pm, see you there!
