Workshop: increasing confidence in New Approach Methodologies for regulatory decision-making

Wednesday 23–Thursday 24 February

In collaboration with the British Toxicology Society and the Health and Safety Executive’s Chemicals Regulation Division, the NC3Rs is hosting a two-day virtual workshop to raise awareness of new approach methodologies (NAMs). The workshop will explore how regulatory application and acceptance of these tools can be increased by overcoming the most significant barriers to their implementation. It will be relevant for academic, regulatory and industry scientists with an interest in the development and application of NAMs.

2022 Call for CRACK IT Challenges

Do you have a great idea to drive innovation in research and development and have a real-world impact on the 3Rs?

We are now inviting potential Sponsors to submit new CRACK IT Challenges for the 2022 competition. As a Sponsor, your organisation will set a scientific challenge to develop a product that solves an unmet need in bioscience using 3Rs approaches, providing funding or in-kind support. In return, you will be able to provide early end user input and receive access to the new technologies developed through your Challenge.

The deadline for new Challenge submissions is Monday 28 February.

Celebrating 100 publications from our toxicology and regulatory sciences programme

Our Tox Team works with industrial partners, regulatory bodies and academics to embed the 3Rs in toxicology and regulatory sciences. They recently passed the milestone of 100 papers published, which we highlighted via a Twitter thread that includes details on the publications, their impacts and resources related to this programme of work.
